Please introduce yourself: What’s your name, where are you from, what do you do?
I am a Georgian citizen who just loves taking pictures and sharing them on instagram. I think publishing my works already is sharing something personal and intimate. I am 27 years old, married, with no children yet, I am studying, and I always keep my camera close to me ☺
What is your relationship with photography? How did you get into it & and what keeps you interested/ motivated?
I don’t have any academic background in the field of photography, taking pictures was something spontaneous that took the start during my trip in Istanbul. While visiting Hagia Sofia with my husband, on a sunny day I suddenly felt that something beautiful was going on around me that I did not want to fade away and felt the urge to memorise it visually, by imprinting it. There is a human element in each of my pictures.
What are you currently working on, and – if there is – what is your next project/ journey?
Honestly, I have never looked at it as a particular project. It can be seen as the reflection of how I see the world and my perception of its existence, in other words: I cannot see a universe without a human being and vice versa. I have my personal photo book called “Imaginary Days” – i was the winner of the mobilephotography contest “Best of the week“, so the 14&15 Mobile Photography collective made my first photo book. Two of my photos are now exhibited at Istanbul FotoFestival 2017, the H-art Collective jury has chosen two of my photos.
